Job summary

Arcare seeks a detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team in Springdale, AR. You will closely collaborate with clinicians, transcribing patient encounters and documenting histories, exams, and orders in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a medical field with computer skills preferred but not required
• Ability to navigate current EMR systems
• Strong understanding of medical terminology
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Accompany providers into patient exam rooms to transcribe and document patient interactions
• Document provider-dictated patient history, including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical/surgical history, family/social histories, medications, and allergies
• Record physical examination findings, procedures, diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions as dictated by the provider
• Document laboratory and radiographic study results as relayed by the provider
• Ensure documentation adheres to appropriate medical charting standards and state regulations
• Do not accept or give verbal orders; document orders only within state laws and under supervision
