Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Centralized Scheduler to coordinate surgeries, appointments, and procedures through collaboration with physicians and staff. Qualifications

• One year of experience in a medical environment with scheduling duties preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge or prior Administrative Partner experience.
• Professional and courteous manners when interacting with customers.
• Appropriate and timely independent judgement.
• Computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries, appointments, and procedures as requested by physicians and customers.
• Transcribe and scan orders and H&Ps into the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Maintain scheduling work queues and patient schegistration, including insurance benefits verification and eligibility checks.
• Initiate medical necessity checks for surgeries, appointments, or procedures.
• Provide assistance to physicians, their staff, and hospital personnel; support the master physician listing.
• Work with departments on new procedures to ensure compliance and proper reimbursement.
• Uphold the department's mission, values, and confidentiality standards.
