Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Scheduling Clerk to efficiently manage Diagnostic Service exam appointments for Radiology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology and Nuclear Medicine at Heritage Valley Beaver. You will interpret orders, confirm details with physicians and patients, and maintain calm, clear communication in a fast-paced environment.

Required high school graduate with medical terminology background, excellent listening, strong computer skills, and ability to multitask.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate, or equivalent.
• Must have medical terminology background.
• Must demonstrate excellent listening skills.
• Must have computer skills and experience.
• Must orally project a positive public image.
• Must demonstrate pleasant voice quality.
• Must be able to remain calm and patient during peak workload periods.
• Must possess excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to perform in a high productivity, fast-paced environment.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for efficient and accurate scheduling of Diagnostic Service exams for Radiology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, and Nuclear Medicine Departments.
• Develops and maintains a professional rapport with large volumes of callers each day.
• Interprets verbal and written physician orders into specific exams.
• Provides easily understood oral instructions to patients and office personnel concerning exam, scheduling, and treatment issues.
• Responds promptly and courteously to questions from patients, office personnel, physicians and peers.
