Job summary

APR Consulting, Inc. has been engaged to identify a Medical Scheduler for a Spokane, WA location. The office-based, non-clinical role focuses on scheduling appointments and coordinating participant transportation to medical visits.

The position is 40 hours per week, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, for an estimated 13 weeks. Candidates should have EPIC experience and at least 2 years of medical scheduling or dispatching; an Associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• EPIC experience required.
• 2 years of experience in scheduling medical appointments and/or dispatching medical transportation.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains Clinic schedule for the PCP, RN, LPNs including booking exam rooms and nursing care areas.
• Maintains Clinic calendar.
• Inputs return visit requests and semi-annual assessments into schedule.
• Schedules appointments for participants to see contracted medical specialists based on referrals by Primary Care Providers.
• Coordinates participants medical appointment schedules with ADH and other disciplines.
• Maintains contact with specialist providers re schedule.
• Responsible for dispatching drivers to transport participants to and from all medical appointments and adult day health visits.
