UofL Health is seeking a Medical Scheduler in Louisville, KY to assist staff and physicians by scheduling follow-ups, tests, and procedures. You will interact with patients of all ages and use hospital systems to retrieve information, while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.

Responsibilities include coordinating pre-certifications, scheduling tests, and communicating instructions to patients. A high school diploma and relevant scheduling experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years scheduling in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.
• Experience using Allscripts, Centricity Business and paging systems.

Responsabilités

• Schedule follow-up/return visits for patients.
• Obtain appropriate pre-certification and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures for patients.
• Explain patient instructions for procedures to ensure understanding.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide follow-up instructions.
• Retrieve information from other hospital systems; use Allscripts/Centricity.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and exhibit friendly, helpful behavior.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
