Job summary

Midwest Orthopedic and Musculoskeletal Alliance (MOMA) seeks a proactive Medical Scheduler for our Wauwatosa location. You will handle patient calls, collect information, pre-register patients, verify insurance, and schedule with the care team.

Key duties include verifying data in the EMR, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and delivering compassionate, detail-focused service in a high-volume setting. Hours are full-time with an 8-hour day shift, Monday–Friday, starting at $18/hour.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent.
• 2 years of insurance experience.
• 2 years of medical office experience.
• Exemplary work ethic and attendance.
• High compassion and kindness for patients.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain professional in high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft software.
• EMR software experience preferred.
• Bilingual, Spanish/English is a plus.

As a result of company growth, the Midwest Orthopedic and Musculoskeletal Alliance (MOMA) is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Medical Scheduler to join the team at our Wauwatosa location.

The Medical Scheduler answers calls from patients, collects clinical information and answer questions, and coordinates any follow up or schedule appointments with the provider care team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Answer the call-center phone with professional and kind demeanor
• Complete pre-registration and insurance verification and communicate financial responsibility during patient calls
• Obtain complete and accurately clinical, demographic, and financial information during the scheduling process
• Record and verify all forms and insurance information into the EMR
• Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:
