UofL Health is seeking a Medical Scheduler to assist staff and physicians by scheduling patients for follow-up appointments and tests. This role involves direct patient interaction across ages and collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities include arranging pre-certifications, scheduling tests, discussing instructions with patients, and using Allscripts and Centricity. HIPAA confidentiality must be maintained with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years scheduling in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information in a HIPAA-compliant manner.

Responsabilités

• Schedule follow-up/return visits for patients.
• Obtain pre-certifications and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures for patients.
• Explain instructions to patients to ensure understanding.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide written instructions.
• Use Allscripts, Centricity Business, and paging systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Demonstrate friendly and helpful behavior.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
