Koch Foods, Inc. in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, is seeking a Safety Officer to provide first aid, treat injuries, and maintain confidential medical records on the 3rd shift.

This role requires attention to safety compliance and effective communication within a manufacturing setting. You will conduct post-offer drug testing, schedule hearing tests, provide random screenings, lead monthly safety meetings, and perform related duties to keep a compliant and safe workplace.

Qualifications

• EMT license is required.
• CPR and basic first aid certification is required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications are preferred.
• Safety experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Expose to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
