Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Service Repair Technician in the San Jose area to repair, rework, test, and upgrade complex robotic electro‑mechanical assemblies in a regulated medical device environment. You will troubleshoot failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams to ensure devices return to service‑readiness.

The role requires independence and the ability to work with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced setting, following GMP

Qualifications

• Two to four years of medical device or capital equipment experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring schematics.
• Ability to configure computer hardware and software.
• Understand GMP and GDP principles.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem solving.
• Able to adapt to fast-paced environments and meet tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair or upgrade Robotic Platform subsystems and components.
• Disassemble and reassemble mechanical/electrical parts using hand tools.
• Document test plans, repairs, and results with traceability for audits.
• Troubleshoot failures, identify root causes, and verify corrective actions.
• Support quality systems and ensure GMP/GDP compliance.
