Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist while providing comprehensive patient care.

The role requires ARRT certification, a graduate from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited training, and BLS certification, with preferred 6 months of experience in radiology.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).
• ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BLS certified.
• PREFERRED: 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist.

Responsibilities

• CT Technologists perform diagnostic CT examinations under the guidance of a supervising Radiologist.
• They produce cross-sectional images using ionizing radiation to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
• They provide patient care to all age groups from neonatal to geriatric.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
