Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT exams under the supervision of a Radiologist and to provide patient care for all age groups. Certification and licensure requirements include ARRT registration, AMA/JRCERT education, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Certification: ARRT certification.
• Licensure: Registered by the ARRT (R).
• Additional qualifications: BLS certification.
• Preferred: 6 months experience as Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations under supervision of the Radiologist.
• Provide patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of images while following prescribed standards.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BLS certified.

PREFERRED: 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist.
