The role requires strong communication skills, basic math for co-pays and balances, and attention to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Medical Terminology preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Computer classes/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones, direct calls and provide information as needed.
• Collect co-pays, co-insurance, and record transactions.
• Enter and verify patient information including demographics and insurance.
• Greet patients and families and provide a positive first impression.
• Scan/import records to EMR and generate mailings.
• Schedule/reschedule patient appointments per provider preferences.
