Methodist Hospital Stone Oak, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Records Specialist PRN to support HIM operations. You will assist the HIM Director with HPF/MPF workflow queues, manage 3M 360 Encompass tasks, resolve unbilled accounts, and handle physician suspension processing.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Hospital or medical office experience preferred, but not required.
• Certification program from state(s) may be required for birth certificate processing.

Responsabilidades

• Retrieves discharged medical records from various departments and reconciles them to ensure all records are accounted for.
• Facilitates retrieval/printing of medical records and handles storage, archival and retention for documents not scanned into HPF/MPF.
• May assist with physician suspensions by evaluating if a physician should be suspended and preparing notices.
• Prepares medical records and loose documents for scanning.
• Scans medical record documents.
• Indexes medical record documentation.
• Performs paper-to-PC quality control validation for scanned documents.
• Completes state-required certification/education for birth certificate clerk duties.
• Interacts with parents to collect birth information and guide form completion.
• Works with parents to complete the Acknowledgment of Paternity form.
• Reviews patient records to obtain birth information.
