Talentify is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to maintain patient records in accordance with federal and state guidelines and hospital policies. You will assure complete records, support the nursing department, and safeguard patient confidentiality across all chart activity.

Responsibilities include file management, chart completion, and coordination with clinicians and administrators to ensure timely access to records for audits and certifications.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Maintain medical records in accordance with federal and state guidelines and facility policies.
• Comply with the nursing department’s policies and procedures.
• Report allegations of resident abuse/neglect to the Administrator, Director of Nursing or Unit Manager.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
• Retrieve medical records when requested by authorized personnel and ensure proper sign-out/sign-in.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures as necessary.
• File active and inactive records according to policies.
• Ensure charts are complete and ready for review by committees.
