Qualifications

• Experience in quantitative medical record reviews preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, file and collate medical records and information into the patient’s medical record.
• Create medical record files.
• Ensure records are complete, accurate and timely.
• Research lost or missing records according to procedures.
• Answer requests for medical records from outside agencies and third-party sponsors.
• Assist staff in locating records in the medical records department.
• Maintain logs, card files and release forms for providing medical record information.
• Ensure records are complete prior to filing and update logs.
• Perform medical record audits.
