Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize records for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and other materials.
• Verify image quality and ensure scanned documents are legible and complete.
• Index and assign documents to the correct patient record.
• Maintain confidentiality of PHI in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Conduct quality audits to identify and correct scanning errors.
• Retrieve, file, and archive medical records as needed.
• Communicate with healthcare staff regarding missing or incomplete documentation.
• Maintain document tracking logs and scanning productivity reports.
• Follow established procedures for records retention and destruction.
