Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Medical Records Technician to prepare and scan patient documents for electronic filing in the EHR system. The role includes reviewing records for completeness and communicating missing items to providers or clinicians.

The candidate will answer phones, follow up on unsigned orders, and maintain high standards of phone etiquette and customer service throughout interactions with providers and care teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–4 years of experience in health information or related activities with computer use.
• Associates degree preferred; formalized medical record technician training or health information management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, scan and index medical record documents for upload to the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Review EHR to identify deficiencies and communicate missing/incomplete documentation to providers.
• Answer phones and follow up with providers for unsigned orders and documentation.
• Maintain professional phone etiquette and customer service in all interactions.
