Job summary

Women’s Specialists of New Mexico LLC is seeking a Medical Records Specialist/Patient Services Support to join our in-person team. You will handle scanning, indexing, and filing in the EMR, and provide front desk coverage including check-in, scheduling, and insurance verification.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, discreet with PHI, and able to work calmly in a busy medical office while delivering compassionate customer service and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with EMR and practice management systems preferred.
• Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Scan, upload, index, and file medical records in the EMR.
• Route electronic faxes and records to appropriate staff.
• Assist with routine medical records requests and paper-to-electronic conversions.
