Job summary

Sayre Christian Village in Lexington, KY is seeking a Medical Records Nurse (LPN) to join our faith-based, nonprofit community. The role emphasizes reviewing and assembling medical records, ensuring completeness, and HIPAA compliance in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

You bring an active KY LPN license and 2–4 years of long-term care recordkeeping experience; independence and collaboration are valued as you help maintain resident records and proper filing.

Qualifications

• Active KY LPN license is required.
• 2–4 years of recordkeeping experience in long-term healthcare.
• Familiarity with resident records and recordkeeping protocol.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records for completeness.
• Assemble medical records into a standard order.
• File records in designated areas per policy.
• Ensure initial medical charts are complete and properly identified.
• Ensure charts are completed, identified, and signed.
• Manage store discharges and shredding as needed.
• Monitor HIPAA compliance.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reviewing medical records for completeness.
• Assembles medical records into a standard order.
• Responsible for filing records in designated areas according to Sayre Christian Village’s applicable alphabetic and numeric filing system
• Ensure that patients’ initial medical charts are complete.
• Ensure all medical charts are completed and properly identified and signed.
• Responsible for store discharges and shredding discharges as needed.
• Responsible for monitoring HIPPA compliance.
