Job summary

A nonprofit elder care community in Lexington is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) / MDS Nurse. In this role, you'll manage medical records, complete audits, and ensure the timely completion of MDS documentation while working in a compassionate, team-oriented environment. Qualifications

• Active KY Nurse License is required.
• 2-4 years of recordkeeping experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
• Familiarity with resident records and recordkeeping protocol is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits.
• Ensure timely completion of MDS assessments and care plans.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Organization and maintenance of the facility’s medical records.
• Complete documentation collection of medical records request.
• Prioritize audits activities that focus on high-risk, high-volume, or problem-prone areas as identified in the facility assessment that reflects the specific units, programs, departments and unique population the facility serves.
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly audits per facility protocol.
• Complete MDS assessments and care plans for assigned residents.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of MDS, RAPs, and triggers according to regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor completion of MDS documentation by interdisciplinary team members within required timeframes.

Qualifications:

• Active KY Nurse License
• Knowledge of MDS, Care Plan Process, PPS, and RUGs preferred
• 2-4 years of recordkeeping experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
• Familiarity with resident records and recordkeeping protocol
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
