Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records after discharge for completeness and compliance.
• Ensure accurate transcription of dictated reports.
• Monitor accounts for duplication of medical record numbers.
• Communicate with physicians about delinquent reports.
• Ensure timely filing of all transcribed reports in charts.
