Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking an Admissions Clerk to support medical records operations. You will collect discharged patient charts, assemble and file records, and ensure completeness and accuracy according to hospital policies.

You will also communicate with physicians regarding delinquent reports and assist in chart retrieval for coder review. Strong attention to detail and ability to operate hospital information systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma; GED acceptable.
• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to use hospital information system and basic computer functions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Collect discharged patient charts daily from care units.
• Assemble charts according to the assembly list and medical record numbers.
• Analyze records for completeness and accuracy per hospital policies.
• Assist in retrieving charts for physician completion and forward to coder.
