Clarion Psychiatric Center is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to manage, organize, and maintain patient health records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility for providers. This role supports HIPAA compliance across the facility.

Responsibilities include chart assembly, ICD-10-CM and DSM-V coding, data abstraction, and responding to internal and external inquiries; the position contributes to performance improvement and efficient filing within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate; Medical Records/HIM experience required.
• Completion of a Medical Coding course is required; CPC certification upon completion.
• Three years’ experience in Health Information Management.

Responsibilities

• Chart assembly and analysis, coding with ICD-10-CM and DSM-V, and abstracting.
• Maintain organization of Medical Records Department and respond to inquiries.
• Support performance improvement studies and handle filing and record review.
