Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team on a part-time day shift. In this role you will import patient records, identify key data elements, and accurately interpret and extrapolate information into the IHA patient EHR charts.

You'll scan documents, route patient documentation, enter data counts, facilitate FMLA and Disability paperwork, transcribe referrals, handle radiology and pathology requests, and schedule

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No licensure required.
• Minimum experience: general understanding of office procedures; experience as Medical Receptionist or Records Clerk preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Scan documents into the EHR chart.
• Transcribe and route patient documentation to appropriate office workgroup or PAQ’s.
• Enter data counts into the appropriate grid.
• Facilitate patient FMLA and Disability paperwork.
• Transcribe incoming referrals into the EHR system.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing radiology and pathology requests.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
