Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our providers, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care. You will welcome patients, document histories, take vital signs, and assist with testing and treatments.

You will also educate patients, communicate test results, and act as a liaison between patients and clinicians. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus completion of an approved MA program/externship/internship or equivalent clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and liaise between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
