Job description

Medical Receptionist - Check in / Out - GI

Location: Chevy Chase, MD

Salary: From $19 Per Hour

Must Have:
  • At least 3 years of medical office experience in a private practice specialty office
  • Experience working for a GI practice is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Answering phones
  • Processing referrals
  • Checking patients out
  • Scheduling procedure appointments
  • Reviewing procedure prep and procedures with patients
  • Strong documentation skills and EMR experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Additional Duties:
  • Schedule procedure appointments
  • Check patients out
  • Process referrals
  • Call patients to review procedures and prep prior to procedures
  • Verify insurance and obtain pre-authorizations
  • Enter patient information into EMR
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding payments
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist patients as needed
