Job summary

Golden Bear Physical Therapy, a member of Therapy Partners Group, in Turlock, CA, is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist. Starting hourly rate is $19.00–$20.00, depending on experience. Schedule: Mon-Thu 7:00am–5:00pm and Fri 8:00am–Noon.

Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred to assist a diverse patient base. Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering phones, coordinating with billing and clinicians, and maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in data entry, dashboard and worklist completion is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Raintree PMS is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Answer phones and greet patients professionally.
• Coordinate with Billing, Therapists, and Aide staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Audit charts and payer portals to ensure notes and AUTHs are uploaded.
• Review copay reports and identify accounts needing review.

Starting Hourly:$19.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience as a Medical Receptionist.

Golden Bear Physical Therapy, a member of Therapy Partners Group, has been the premier provider for outpatient orthopedics serving the Central Valley, El Dorado County, and surrounding communities for over 40 years. Currently, we are looking for a full time Medical Receptionist for our 3800 Geer Rd location in Turlock.

Schedule needed: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm & Friday 8:00am - Noon

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES

• Greeting warmly and maintain a friendly, welcoming relationship with all patient care coordinators, and any external connections.
• Clearly communicates with all staff, including clinical and corporate employees, in a friendly and courteous manner
• Responsible for answering phones and greeting patients with the utmost professionalism and care.
• Works closely with Billing Department, Physical Therapists and Aide staff to assure smooth patient flow
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
• Participates in and adheres to, as required, the HIPAA Policies and Procedures of Therapy Partner Group
• Reviews Copay collection reports and helps identify accounts that may need to be reviewed
• Audits Journeys/Dashboard to ensure they are being worked on in a timely manner
• Audits Payer Direct Portal to ensure notes are being uploaded/AUTH’s pulled
• Checks FOC Chats to ensure messages are being responded to and worked on
• Chart audit day/s in advance to ensure we have charts with documents and AUTH’s as required

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office; Raintree PMS experience is a +Plus
• Possess strong customer service skills
• Ability to maintain confidential documents
• Must be organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to communicate complex information in a well thought-out, easily understood manner, both orally and in writing in a variety of settings and styles

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

Experience: Data Entry, System Dashboard and or Worklist Completion Projects a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Requires prolonged sitting, some walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other equipment. Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and present reports.
