Job summary

Golden Bear Physical Therapy, a member of Therapy Partners Group, seeks a full-time Medical Receptionist for our 3800 Geer Rd location in Turlock. The role involves greeting patients, scheduling, cash handling, and coordinating with billing and therapists.

Candidates must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinic. Schedule: Mon-Thu 7:00am-5:00pm, Fri 8:00am-Noon.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and maintain a welcoming environment for patients and staff.
• Answer phones and greet patients professionally.
• Coordinate with Billing, Therapists, and Aide staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA policies.
• Review copay reports and assist with account reviews.
• Audit journeys and payer portals to ensure notes and AUTHs are uploaded.

Starting Hourly:$19.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience as a Medical Receptionist.

Golden Bear Physical Therapy, a member of Therapy Partners Group, has been the premier provider for outpatient orthopedics servingthe Central Valley, El Dorado County,and surrounding communities for over 40 years.

Currently, we are looking for a full time Medical Receptionist for our 3800 Geer Rd location in Turlock.

Schedule needed: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm & Friday 8:00am - Noon

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES

• Greeting warmly and maintain a friendly, welcoming relationship with all patient care coordinators, and any external connections.
• Clearly communicates with all staff, including clinical and corporate employees, in a friendly and courteous manner
• Responsible for answering phones and greeting patients with the utmost professionalism and care.
• Works closely with Billing Department, Physical Therapists and Aide staff to assure smooth patient flow
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
• Participates in and adheres to, as required, the HIPAA Policies and Procedures of Therapy Partner Group
• Reviews Copay collection reports and helps identify accounts that may need to be reviewed
• Audits Journeys/Dashboard to ensure they are being worked on in a timely manner
• Audits Payer Direct Portal to ensure notes are being uploaded/AUTH's pulled
• Checks FOC Chats to ensure messages are being responded to and worked on
• Chart audit day/s in advance to ensure we have charts with documents and AUTH's as required

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office; Raintree PMS experience is a +Plus
• Possess strong customer service skills
• Ability to maintain confidential documents
• Must be organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to communicate complex information in a well thought-out, easily understood manner, both orally and in writing in a variety of settings and styles
• Ability to communicate in an honest, direct, and professional manner, relating well to others to build rapport and effective relationships.

Education and Experience

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: Data Entry, System Dashboard and or Worklist Completion Projects a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Requires prolonged sitting, some walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other equipment. Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and present reports.
