Job description

ParkWest Women's Health, a private OB/GYN practice with 9 providers, is seeking a medical receptionist to be a member of a team that staffs an office in Brighton. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Start time of day varies from 7:30 am to 8:30 am depending on the work assignment for the day. This will sometimes require working later than 5:00 pm. Benefits include a portion of healthcare paid, life insurance and paid time off for vacation/sick/holidays. Salary consideration starting at $17 per hour, but ultimately determined based on experience.

Our prime candidate will exhibit a professional demeanor in the office through:

  • Office appropriate dress and appearance
  • Welcome and assist our patients in a friendly, efficient manner
  • Skills in medical terminology, computer and electronic medical records
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Duties include, but are not limited to, checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays/deductibles, answering phone and scheduling appointments. Knowledge of local insurance plans and how they work is necessary. Reliable transportation is necessary. Prior medical office experience is preferred.
