Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Per Diem Medical Practice Patient Representative in Danbury, CT. The role supports clerical and administrative tasks for the medical practice region, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The position involves greeting patients, verifying demographic and insurance information, and coordinating visits and records. The incumbent will handle phone calls, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and ensure accurate communications through the EMR system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
• Data Entry.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Minimum experience: six months.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients upon arrival, communicate pleasantly and effectively.
• Verify accuracy of patient's information (demographics and insurance).
• Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and ensure accurate communication via EMR.
• Register, verify, and schedule patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments according to office protocols.
• Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile money for deposits.
• Obtain and coordinate record retrieval for new and established patients.
• Perform intake and processing of medical records and related documentation.
• Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Maintain and model the organization values.
• Demonstrate regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Summary

Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively. 2. Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance. 3. Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system 4. Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals. 5. Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols 6. Monitors applications and manage worklists as applicable. 7. Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit. 8. Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients. 9. Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable. 10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. 11. Salary Range: $18.13 - $31.36 Hourly
