Northwell Health is seeking a Medical Practice Patient Representative - DB Physical Medicine in Newtown, CT. The role is full-time, 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with on-site responsibilities across multiple practices as needed.

The position provides clerical and administrative support to coordinate patient care activities, verify demographics and insurance details, handle scheduling, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
• Data entry and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• Ensures accuracy of patient information including demographics and insurance.
• Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and communicates information to the EMR system.
• Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
• Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• Obtains and coordinates records for new and established patients.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Maintains and models the organization's values.
• Demonstrates regular, dependable attendance.

Summary

Education Skills Experience

Required: High School graduate or equivalent. Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred, Data Entry, Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal). Minimum Experience: Six months.

Salary Range: $18.13 - $34.50 Hourly
