Northwell Health is seeking a Medical Practice Patient Representative for the Primary Care office in Mahopac, NY. This full-time role supports patient care activities, greets patients, verifies demographics, and coordinates appointments and records in the EMR system.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Some travel between practices may be needed.

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
• Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and ensures accurate communication in the EMR system.
• Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation as applicable.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Maintains and models the organization values.
• Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.

Medical Practice Patient Representative- Primary Care - Mahopac, NY - Full time - Monday through Friday - Hours vary between 7:45am - 6:00pm for 8.5 hour day

Summary

Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
• Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system.
• Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
• Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Maintains and Models the Organization values.
• Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education Skills Experience

Required: High School graduate or equivalent. Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred, Data Entry, Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal). Minimum Experience: Six months.

Other Information

Ability to travel between practices as needed.

Salary Range: $18.13 - $34.50 Hourly
