Northwell Health in Danbury, CT, is seeking a Medical Practice Patient Representative for the Primary Care office. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am–7:00pm, with 8-hour shifts, and includes a $500 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Verifies patient demographics and insurance accuracy.
• Answers phones, routes calls, and relays messages accurately.
• Registers, verifies, and schedules appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments per office protocols.
• Manages worklists and tracks applications as needed.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles deposits.
• Obtains and coordinates retrieval of patient records.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records.
• Maintains compliance with responsibilities and policies.
• Demonstrates dependability and regular attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Summary:

Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.

Responsibilities:

• 1. Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• 2. Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
• 3. Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system
• 4. Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• 5. Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols
• 6. Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
• 7. Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• 8. Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
• 9. Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
• 10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• 11. Maintains and Models the Organization values.
• 12. Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• 13. Performs other duties as required.

Education Skills Experience:

Required: High School graduate or equivalent. Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred, Data Entry, Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal). Minimum Experience: Six months.

Other Information:

Ability to travel between practices as needed.

Salary Range: $18.13 - $34.50 Hourly
