Job summary

Northwell Health Clinical Practice is seeking a dedicated Medical Practice Patient Representative for DB Physical Medicine in Newtown, CT. This full-time, Monday–Friday position handles patient check-in, information verification, appointment scheduling and basic clerical duties.

The role requires high school graduation, strong communication, and basic data-entry skills. Travel between practices may be required, with a $500 sign-on for external candidates.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred; data entry skills expected.
• Minimum six months of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and communicate effectively.
• Verify patient information, demographics and insurance details.
• Answer phones, route calls, and document messages in EMR.
• Register, verify and schedule appointments, tests, and referrals.
• Manage appointment calendars and routine office protocols.

Title: Medical Practice Patient Representative - DB Physical Medicine - Newtown, CT - Full time - Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Summary

Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.

Responsibilities

1. Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
2. Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
3. Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system
4. Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
5. Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols
6. Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
7. Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
8. Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
9. Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
11. Maintains and Models the Organizations values.
12. Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
13. Performs other duties as required.

Education, Skills, Experience

Required: High School graduate or equivalent. Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred, Data Entry, Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal). Minimum Experience: Six months.

Other Information

Ability to travel between practices as needed.

Salary Range

$18.13 - $34.50 Hourly
