Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance information.
• Answers phones, routes calls, and relays messages in the EMR.
• Registers and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules according to office protocols.
• Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles deposits.
• Obtains and coordinates patient records retrieval.
• Processes medical records and related documents.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities of the role.
• Upholds organization values and demonstrates dependable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Summary

Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.

Responsibilities

• 1. Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• 2. Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
• 3. Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system
• 4. Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• 5. Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols
• 6. Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
• 7. Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• 8. Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
• 9. Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
• 10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• 11. Maintains and Models the Organization values.
• 12. Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• 13. Performs other duties as required.

Education Skills Experience

Required: High School graduate or equivalent. Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred, Data Entry, Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal). Minimum Experience: Six months.

Ability to travel between practices as needed.

Salary Range

$18.13 - $34.50 Hourly
