Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join our team and take charge of overseeing practice operations. This role is instrumental in providing our physicians with the necessary resources to meet patient needs and achieve our practice's financial objectives. The Practice Manager will coordinate efforts with the Nurse Manager and Front Desk Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Goal Setting and Implementation: Establish and implement goals, objectives, policies, and procedures across all operational areas of the practice. Your initiatives will align with the vision and mission of Garden City Pediatrics.
Long-Range Planning: Develop and execute long-range plans that guide the practice toward strategic objectives.
Operational Management: Manage day-to-day operations while developing, monitoring, and analyzing budget and financial information for cost-effective measures. Your leadership will ensure seamless practice management.
Human Resources Administration: Oversee HR functions including compensation, benefits, job descriptions, personnel policies, and payroll practices. Participate actively in staff selection, training, supervision, performance evaluations, merit increases, and disciplinary procedures.
Problem Resolution: Address administrative and operational challenges, including clinic property maintenance, computer systems upkeep, and software applications management.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to regulations and standards, maintaining the quality of care and services.
Data Management: Gather and analyze fiscal and statistical data to inform decisions and improve practice efficiency.
Liaison Role: Serve as the bridge between the clinic and external agencies, fostering beneficial relationships that support the practice.
Strategic Planning with Physicians: Work with physician partners to develop clinic strategic plans and objectives based on patient and practice needs.
Confidentiality Assurance: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality to protect patient privacy and practice integrity.
Qualifications:
We are interested in candidates who possess knowledge of principles and practices of health care planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of a health care organization. Knowledge of government and reimbursement regulations and requirements, along with Medicaid, managed care and other third-party payor’s guidelines and requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and practice management software (ERM’s) is a must. Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration or Business Administration is required. Ideally, candidates will possess a Minimum seven years executive-level experience including five years of experience in the administration of a health care organization.
