Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Medical Payment Posting Specialist for a contract role based out of San Antonio, TX. The position focuses on posting and applying insurance and patient payments, adjustments, refunds, write-offs, and contractual adjustments with attention to detail in a high-volume healthcare revenue cycle environment.

Responsibilities include posting daily payment batches, analyzing EOBs, cash posting, and researching discrepancies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical payment posting experience required.
• 23 years of experience with cash posting, reconciliation, EOB analysis, balance transfers, refunds, write-offs, and contractual adjustments preferred.

Job description

The Medical Payment Posting Specialist is responsible for accurately posting and applying insurance and patient payments, adjustments, refunds, write-offs, and contractual adjustments within the patient accounting system. This position requires strong attention to detail and experience working with high-volume payment batches in a healthcare revenue cycle environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cash posting and reconciliation to ensure payments balance accurately.
• Process balance transfers, refunds, miscellaneous cash, write-offs, and contractual adjustments.
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to payments, adjustments, and account balances.
• Work with insurance payer payments and patient accounts while following established billing procedures and guidelines.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
