Job summary

Konza Prairie Community Health Center in Junction City, KS seeks a Medical Patient Access Representative to greet patients and support daily clinic operations. You will handle check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, records maintenance and payments with a patient-first approach.

Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented and committed to a welcoming experience; healthcare exposure and EMR familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of customer service/reception experience.
• Basic office skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Front-office and administrative duties including patient check-in and check-out.
• Schedule appointments and manage calendar for providers.
• Verify insurance information and benefits.
• Maintain and update patient medical records.
• Process payments and coordinate with billing.

The Medical Patient Access Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while supporting efficient day-to-day clinic operations. This position performs a variety of front-office and administrative duties, including patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, medical record maintenance, and payment processing.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a welcoming and positive experience for every patient.

Schedule & Perks

• Full-time schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM-2:00 PM
• Up to 200 hours (5 weeks) of PTO each year

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 6 months of customer service/reception experience
• Basic office skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft products

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
• EMR experience
• 1+ years of experience in FQHC setting
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Graduate of certified medical office training course, CNA or Medical Assistant
