Job summary

TidalHealth in Salisbury, MD seeks a Medical Assistant Supervisor to lead the care team and oversee daily operations of the office under the Practice Manager. You will orient and train staff, interview and hire, conduct daily huddles, and coach team members to maintain high standards of care and efficiency.

The position requires MA experience, supervisory background, and proficiency with an EMR (Epic). A strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance plans is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• Minimum three years in a healthcare setting required; bariatric practice preferred.
• Supervisory experience strongly preferred; MA experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance plans required.
• Must be proficient with an EMR (Epic preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and supervises overall operations of the office.
• Orients and trains support staff on systems to ensure policy compliance.
• Interviews and selects new staff; conducts daily staff huddles.
• Coaches staff, recognizes performance and provides correction as needed.
• Provides preparation of patients and assists providers in care activities.
