Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Medical Office Representative for our Clearwater-area primary care location. You will greet patients, answer inquiries, and support the physician office team in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role requires at least a High School diploma and either 6 months of healthcare experience or 6 months in customer service, with strong front desk skills and attention to billing questions. Regular hours Mon–Fri apply.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months healthcare experience or 6 months in customer service.
• Medical front desk experience highly preferred.

• Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
• Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Medical Office Rep is responsible for:

• Supports the physician's office health care team
• Greets and signs in patients
• Assists with patient inquiries
• May arrange for other procedures
• Laboratory and consultations with referral doctors
• Collects and posts payments
• Assists patients with billing questions
• Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout
• Sorts and distributes mail
• Copies medical records

Required Education:

• High School or Equivalent

RequiredExperience:

• Required 6 months of healthcare
• Or 6 months of Customer Service
• Highly preferred medical front desk experience
