Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Medical Office Rep to join our multi-specialty group across the Tampa Bay and west central Florida regions. The role involves greeting patients, answering inquiries, and supporting the physician office team in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

You will handle billing questions, collect payments, and ensure encounter forms are complete before checkout. The position is full-time, non-exempt, with a standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM shift (may vary).

Qualifications

• 6 months of healthcare experience or 6 months of customer service experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and signs in patients.
• Assists with patient inquiries.
• Supports the physician's office health care team.
• May arrange for other procedures.
• Laboratory and consultations with referral doctors.
• Collects and posts payments.
• Assists patients with billing questions.
• Ensures completeness of encounter forms prior to checkout.
• Sorts and distributes mail.
• Copies medical records.
