Job summary

BayCare in Riverview, FL is seeking a Medical Office Rep for the Pediatric Orthopedic practice to join a busy physician group. The role focuses on greeting patients, assisting with inquiries, posting payments, and ensuring accurate encounter forms.

Join a large multi-specialty system with comprehensive benefits; position is full-time, Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (non-exempt). Prior medical front desk or healthcare experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of healthcare experience or 6 months of customer service experience.
• Front desk/medical office experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and signs in patients.
• Assists patients with inquiries and billing questions.
• Collects and posts payments and ensures encounter forms are complete at checkout.
• Sorts and distributes mail and copies medical records.

• Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (May Vary)

The Medical Office Rep is responsible for:

• Supports the physician's office health care team
• Greets and signs in patients
• Assists with patient inquiries
• May arrange for other procedures
• Laboratory and consultations with referral doctors
• Collects and posts payments
• Assists patients with billing questions
• Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout
• Sorts and distributes mail
• Copies medical records

Required Education:

• High School or Equivalent

RequiredExperience:

• Required 6 months of healthcare
• Or 6 months of Customer Service
• Highly preferred medical front desk experience
