Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Medical Office Representative for the Bloomingdale Health Hub Peds location in Valrico, FL. This full-time role supports the physician's office health care team with patient greeting, information collection, appointment scheduling, and inquiries handling, helping ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of healthcare experience or 6 months in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greets and signs in patients.
• Obtains patient information and schedules appointments.
• Assists with patient inquiries and billing questions.
• Collects and posts payments and ensures encounter form completeness.
• Copies medical records and sorts mail.

Position Details:

• Location: Bloomingdale Health Hub Peds - Valrico, FL
• Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
• Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM (May Vary)
• Weekend Work:None

The Medical Office Rep is responsible for:

• Supports the physician's office health care team
• Greets and signs in patients
• Obtains patient information
• Schedules patient appointments
• Assists with patient inquiries
• May arrange for other procedures
• Laboratory and consultations with referral doctors
• Collects and posts payments
• Assists patients with billing questions
• Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout
• Sorts and distributes mail
• Copies medical records

RequiredEducation:

• High School or Equivalent

Experience:

• Required 6 months of healthcare
• Or 6 months of Customer Service
