Job summary

ArchWell Health is seeking an Accounting Manager, Medical Margin to lead the medical margin close and drive accurate, timely financial reporting.

You will manage journal entries, reconciliations, and a growing team, partnering with Actuary, IT, Med Econ, Finance and other departments to improve processes and data accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a CPA and 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, with advanced Excel skills and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of technical accounting policies, regulations, financial statements, internal controls, and procedures.
• Proven experience building and developing processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience in financial and variance analysis with the ability to interpret and communicate findings and insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the medical margin financial close and drive timely, accurate reporting of revenue and medical expenses.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the medical margin accounting function, including reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Actuary, IT, Med Econ, Finance, and other departments to analyze payor data and perform end-to-end payor reconciliations.
