Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring an Account Manager for Medical Life Science in Halethorpe, MD. The role focuses on developing sales and profitability for key accounts, building consultative relationships, and driving growth through a defined territory.

The position offers base pay with commission, a monthly auto allowance, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, business or related field required; in lieu of degree, up to 4 years of related experience may be accepted.
• Minimum 3 years outside B2B sales with solution-selling experience and a proven history of managing customers in a defined territory.
• Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases; knowledge of SAP a plus; strong communication and PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes sales plans to service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts.
• Cultivates customer relationships by developing knowledge of the customer’s business and adopting a consultative approach.
• Prepares sales proposals by quoting pricing, establishing credit terms, and delivery dates based on production/delivery schedules.
• Keeps current with industry insights and pricing, product mixes, and merchandising techniques to stay competitive.
• Maintains and submits sales reports and communicates with internal departments to support customer opportunities and success.
