Job description

LifeMD is hiring a full-time Medical Licensing Specialist for remote work across the United States. The role pays $60,000 to $70,000 a year and supports licensing and credentialing for LifeMD providers. The position reports to the Director of Payor Enrollment & Credentialing.

LifeMD operates a 50-state medical group within a telehealth business that provides virtual primary care, diagnostics, and specialized treatment. The specialist obtains licenses and privileges, verifies provider records, and keeps licensing information current across multiple states. The role is intended for a credentialing professional with at least two years of recent multi-state medical licensing application-processing experience. Medical professionals rely on accurate credentials before treating patients across state lines.

Applicants should have a resume that identifies recent multi-state licensing application work and any credentialing certification. Work history that shows provider onboarding, state-board correspondence, and confidential record handling addresses the operating scope of the position.

Multi-State Licensing And Credentialing Work

The specialist obtains medical licenses and privileges for LifeMD providers across multiple markets and states. Provider files require verification of licensure, malpractice coverage, educational degrees, diplomas, and certifications before the records move through the credentialing process.

Recurring work includes maintaining licensing matrices, preparing Primary Source Verification reports, and assisting with multi-state Collaborative Practice Agreements. The position also keeps CAQH Provider System licensing information current and supports provider onboarding and offboarding.

  • Maintain licensing matrices across states and markets
  • Verify licenses, malpractice coverage, education, diplomas, and certifications
  • Prepare Primary Source Verification reports
  • Assist with Collaborative Practice Agreements
  • Update CAQH Provider System information
Provider Records Across State Lines

State medical boards issue physician licenses separately, so credentialing work requires accurate state-specific records and deadline control. U.S. medical licenses are issued state by state, and requirements vary by jurisdiction and graduate background, including examination and graduate medical education rules described in the AMA licensing guidance .

LifeMD's licensing team corresponds with state boards about provider applications and related questions. Fingerprinting knowledge, multi-state licensing experience, and expertise with Collaborative Practice Agreements support the regulatory coordination required by the position.

LifeMD's Virtual Care Operation

LifeMD delivers virtual primary care, diagnostics, and specialized treatment through a 50-state medical group . Licensed clinicians provide care through the company's proprietary technology platform, while pharmacy and laboratory operations support the patient service model.

The company also operates a nationwide mail-order pharmacy network and an in-house pharmacy. Its healthcare positions span clinical, technology, analytical, and administrative work that supports patients and providers.

Qualifications For The Specialist Role

At least two years of recent experience processing multi-state medical licensing applications is required. The position calls for expertise with multi-state licensing and fingerprinting, strong knowledge of Collaborative Practice Agreements, and working knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Credentialing certification, a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience meets the stated education pathway. CPCS, CPMSM, or CPES certification is listed with the preferred credentials. Analytical ability, careful organization, reliable time management, strong written and verbal communication, and adaptability with credentialing software round out the role's working requirements.

Benefits And Development Support
  • LifeMD provides medical, dental, and vision coverage with 401(k) and Roth 401(k) options.
  • Life insurance, voluntary life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, short-term disability, flexible paid time off, and paid holidays are included in the stated benefits.

Training and development support accompanies the position. The work also calls for collaboration, strategic problem solving, and reliable follow-through as licensing information changes across the provider network.

Confidential administrative and correspondence functions form part of the daily work. The specialist updates spreadsheets and other systems, disseminates information, answers ancillary licensing questions, and supports special, ongoing, and nonrecurring projects.

Medical jobs in telehealth connect provider operations with the records that allow clinicians to practice. Medical professionals depend on those records remaining accurate as their practice locations and credentials change. Remote physician work also depends on that licensing foundation, as reflected in the remote physician work represented in the directory.
