Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical or biological science.
• Current CLINICAL LAB SCIENTIST GENERALIST license or trainee/license with 90-day upgrade requirement.
• ASCP/AMT/AAB generalist certification within 90 days; eligibility requirements for Academic Medical Center facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets routine and specialized laboratory testing within established time frames.
• Maintains quality control and instrument maintenance; documents corrective actions.
• Follows regulatory and accreditation standards; ensures safety and proficiency testing.
• Participates in performance improvement and inventory management.
• Adapts communication to patients and protects privacy; performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
