Job summary

Ochsner in Louisiana is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform, develop and interpret routine and specialized lab tests, handling data entry and instrument maintenance. You will participate in quality control, ensure regulatory compliance, and support timely and accurate patient results.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in medical technology or related science, and licensure as a Clinical Lab Scientist; certification within 90 days if not currently held, and strong analytical,

Qualifications

Bachelor's in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical or biological science.
Must have computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction across patient care teams.

Responsibilities

Performs, develops and interprets routine and/or specialized laboratory testing independently within established time frames.
Maintains quality control and instrument maintenance, records actions and escalates when results are out of control.
Adheres to regulatory compliance and accreditation standards for laboratories.
