Qualifications

• Graduate of a NAACLS approved MLS educational program with clinical experience.
• Must be certified or eligible to take MLS/ASCP or MT/ASCP registry exam within 12 months of hire.
• Must communicate effectively in both written and oral form; customer-focused and service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Organizes department, mentors students, and stays current with lab techniques.
• Obtains blood specimens using correct technique and properly labels and processes requisitions.
• Maintains quality control records and monitors instrument performance, reporting issues promptly.
