Job summary

Providence Centralia Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform bench duties across multiple sections including Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Microbiology and Molecular. You will plan, perform and evaluate tests and communicate findings to physicians and care teams.

Requirements include a MLS-related bachelor’s degree with clinical rotation and/or specific science coursework, plus eligibility for national certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science with clinical rotation or equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree in chemical/physical/biological science plus accredited MLS program
• Bachelor's Degree with specified chemistry/biology coursework and clinical experience
• Upon hire: MLS/AMT/ASCP or related certification eligibility

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform and evaluate laboratory testing analyses.
• Establish and maintain communications with physicians, patients and hospital staff.
• Work across sections: Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Microbiology, LIS and Lean applications.
